Stories Worth Keeping

Fritter Hollow is built around a simple belief: sharing stories can help people understand one another a little better.

We’re especially interested in what people carry beneath the surface, the experiences that shaped them, the things they remember, the things they don't usually talk about, and the stories that become more interesting the longer you're willing to stay with them.

Not every worthwhile story announces itself as one. Sometimes it belongs to a musician, writer, artist or local character. Sometimes it belongs to somebody who would never describe themselves as interesting at all.

Fritter Hollow is our base camp. It’s where we talk, experiment, record, plan, practice, chase ideas and develop larger story projects. Sometimes the conversation itself is the thing. Sometimes it leads somewhere we didn't expect.

At the centre of all of this is a longing for community. We want to know people who make things, people with stories worth telling, and people who still want to listen closely. A lot of modern life can feel mediated, automated and strangely disconnected. We’d like to make a little more room for genuine curiosity about one another.

And we want to make things that last.

Not necessarily big things. Not necessarily famous things. Just work that means something to us, means something to the people who trust us with their stories, and might continue to mean something to someone after we're gone.

For now, think of Fritter Hollow as a lab with microphones.
